If you are editing the clip for use in the classroom, see what
company/studio published it and go out to their website to see if they
have a "terms of use" published. If they do, read though it and look for
"educational" or "fair use" and what they outline as "fair use." If they
don't, they will probably have an email address or phone number for
either their legal department or their licensing department, and they
will be able to help you sort through what kind of permission
you need to obtain to use the media.
